Introducing the Global Collaboration Framework

The Meridian Global Collaboration Framework (GCF) is a module that works within BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise to allows you to transfer documents between vaults at different locations, allowing for concurrent engineering within multiple Meridian Enterprise environments. Simply put, you can send single documents or entire assembly structures from one location to another location, allowing multiple teams to work on the same projects. The GCF is designed to manage document ownership and locking to ensure that only one person at a time can work on any single document.

The optional GCF/Project Portal module allows BlueCielo Project Portal folders, respectively, to collaborate with BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise vaults over the GCF. In the remainder of this guide, references to GCF sites can be applied to BlueCielo Project Portal sites as well as to Meridian Enterprise sites. For information about installing and configuring the GCF/Project Portal module, see the BlueCielo GCF/Project Portal Administrator's Guide.
